Overview
Local communications between an ET-series station and a computer RS-232 serial port are supported by the 10589 Short Haul Modem Kit. The kit contains two RAD modems, a 10596 interface, a surge protector for the computer, a cable burial splice kit, and three cables. A surge protector is not required for the field site because each ET-series station is surge protected by the connector board.
