The CM230XL is an adjustable mount to point directional antennas or sensors at a specific target. The inclination can be adjusted to any angle from horizontal to vertical, supporting the use of upward-directed antennas or downward-directed infrared thermometers or snow-depth sensors.
The image shows a CM230XL with poles to illustrate how the mount may be used.
The CM230XL is typically attached to the mast of one of our tripods or towers, or in some applications to a user-supplied pipe. (See the Compatibility information.)
The following weight limits are required to adequately support an object with a center of gravity that extends beyond the bracket. When the CM230XL is mounted to a vertical pipe, the object's weight must be less than 11 kg (24 lb). When mounted to a horizontal pipe and positioned horizontally, the weight must be less than 4 kg (9 lb).

The CM230XL will accept antennas and sensors with a 1.0 in. to 1.5 in. outer diameter. The bracket can be attached to a mast or pipe with a 1.0 to 2.1 in. outer diameter. The declination of the antenna is fixed when the U-bolts attached to the tripod are tightened; the inclination of the antenna or sensor can then be adjusted with the other set of U-bolts and nuts.
The CM230XL is compatible with a 0.75 to 1.0 in. pipe size (1 to 1.5 in. OD) on the adjustable-angle side and a 0.75 to 2 in. pipe size (1 to 2.375 in. OD) on the fixed-angle side.
